Who Am I?
My name is Diona Kidd. I am a professional web developer and entrepreneur. I am also a partner in Knowmad Technologies, an open-source internet consulting and web development firm located in Charlotte, NC. We provide custom programming services, including intranet applications and dynamic websites. We also offer custom website design services, custom programming, web application integration, database design and web hosting.
I am a programmer, with an eye for design and a heart for business. I have worked mostly at start-up companies, loving the thrill of building companies and their technologies. I’m fascinated by the internet; it’s effect on our culture socially and economically.
I advocate open standards, open-source and usability. I advocate and believe in open-source because I’ve seen what an advantage it can be for businesses and the global development of technology.
